Link comes back to Hyrule after thirty years away. Ganon is gone, but his minions are terrorizing the villagers, and you get exactly one arrow to fix it. The "Souls" in the name is earned: this game wants you dead.
How to install it
- Download the game with the button above. You'll get a .tns file, the file type TI-Nspire calculators use.
- Open nspireconnect.ti.com in Chrome on a computer or Chromebook, and plug your calculator in with its charging cable.
- Choose File Transfer, then To Calculator, then From Computer, and pick the .tns file you just downloaded.
- When it lands, the calculator shows a prompt. Choose Open and you're playing.
TI's web app only supports the CX II and CX II CAS. If you have an original CX, or you already use the TI-Nspire Student Software, sending the file through that works the same. The game lives in My Documents afterwards, so you can reopen it any time.
The mission
- Rescue each villager before their time runs out.
- Explore the dungeons hunting triforce fragments.
- Don't touch enemies. Don't touch fire. Don't let the clock hit zero. All three kill you instantly.
Controls
- Arrow keys move Link.
- B fires your arrow. Singular. Make it count.
- A calls in a helping power, but lean on it too much and it kills you too.
- Three secret keys trigger fire, ice, and an ultimate power. The game doesn't say which keys. Finding them is part of it.
Reading the screen
The radar shows Link as a green dot and the villager you're rescuing as a red one. Your remaining time sits by the stopwatch and your arrow count by the ruby. Wins stack up as triforces, deaths as Ganons, and if you save the document those tallies survive between sessions.
