Drop your pieces, line up four in a row, and don't let your opponent do it first. Works as a two-player game on one calculator, or you can take on the calculator itself.
How to install it
- Download the game with the button above. You'll get a .tns file, the file type TI-Nspire calculators use.
- Open nspireconnect.ti.com in Chrome on a computer or Chromebook, and plug your calculator in with its charging cable.
- Choose File Transfer, then To Calculator, then From Computer, and pick the .tns file you just downloaded.
- When it lands, the calculator shows a prompt. Choose Open and you're playing.
TI's web app only supports the CX II and CX II CAS. If you have an original CX, or you already use the TI-Nspire Student Software, sending the file through that works the same. The game lives in My Documents afterwards, so you can reopen it any time.
Playing a move
- Left and right arrows pick a column.
- Down arrow, enter, or a click drops your piece.
- backspace takes back the last move. No arguments needed.
- n starts a new game.
- h asks the game for a hint. It floats a piece over the column it recommends.
Set it up your way
Everything lives in the menu key. Under Players you choose who goes first, you or the calculator, or set it to two humans. Board changes the grid size, so you're not locked to the classic 7 by 6. Level sets how far ahead the calculator thinks, which is the difference between a pushover and an opponent that punishes every lazy drop.
